Powerful anthropomorphic statue called "Hampatong blontong" carved in a heavy single trunk of iron wood, collected within the Benu'aq tribes of east Borneo this amazing sculpture was erected in the middle of the village as protection from evil spirits but also to be used during certain ceremonies as for the harvest when a buffalo is tight to the pole his throat cutted for the blood to fertilized the land.Height : 330 cm / 130 inches
