Collected in central Asmat in 1991, the design on this shield depict three series of eight reversed Bipane, shell nose adornment, and one serie of six . At the top of
the shield an ancestor figure holding a shield. The
designs are bold and uncluttered, the edge of the shield is pierced and
decorated with sago-frond tassels.Size: 180 x 55 cm
